This is an hourly position and will provide a well set schedule.  You must be an energetic, personable, and highly motivated individual.  You must be able to stand on your feet for up to 8 hours with minimal breaks and handle physical tasks related to restaurant operations.  Tasks will involve (but are not limited to) taking customer orders both for dine-in and carry-out.  Servers are responsible for busing tables, setting tables, handling customer needs, serving beverages (non-alcoholic), salads, order entry into POS system, pricing, etc.  General restaurant, kitchen, and food prep knowledge is required.  It will be necessary to work well with others and function well as a team leader with the rest of the staff.  Tom and Joe’s Restaurant has now been serving Altoona for 80 years with a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic diner atmosphere.  Applicants must have good social skills, be comfortable in a restaurant and kitchen setting, and be able to multi-task.  Hourly rate will be set based on skill level and experience.
